IntriKate Consulting LLP Practice

Practice

Six practice areas, organised around the decisions our clients have to take. Each engagement is led by a named partner and held to one standard of evidence.

Show the areas most relevant to

Governance and public policy

For departments and public bodies that must design, repair or scale a programme within real limits of budget, staff and time.

For
Departments, commissionerates, missions, district administrations, local bodies and public sector undertakings.

Typical work

  • Policy and scheme design, appraisal and course correction
  • Regulatory impact analysis of proposed rules, orders and schemes
  • Institutional design and restructuring
  • Implementation-chain diagnosis, from ministry to district to beneficiary
  • Public financial management and outcome-budgeting support
  • Design and synthesis of stakeholder consultations
  • Design of programme and project management units (advisory only; we do not supply manpower)

Sustainability and ESG disclosure

For listed companies and their value chains, preparing disclosures that regulators, assurance providers and investors will read closely.

For
Company secretaries, CFOs, sustainability heads and boards, and suppliers to listed companies.

Typical work

  • BRSR and BRSR Core readiness, gap assessment and review
  • Empirical peer benchmarking against the filed population of disclosures
  • Gap mapping between BRSR and IFRS S1/S2, ESRS, GRI and TCFD
  • Assurance readiness and design of the data trail
  • Greenhouse-gas inventory design and emissions-accounting advisory
  • Compliance design for the Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS)
  • Extended Producer Responsibility and circular-economy advisory
  • CSR policy, programme design and utilisation review

Four frameworks, three lenses

Before any gap analysis, we settle whose perspective a framework takes. A disclosure prepared for one lens does not automatically satisfy another.

  • IFRS S1 and S2 Financial materiality. Sustainability-related risks and opportunities, disclosed for users of general purpose financial reports.1
  • ESRS Double materiality. Reporting under the CSRD on the basis of double materiality, where a matter is material from either perspective.2
  • GRI Standards Impact materiality. An organisation's impacts on the economy, the environment and people, including impacts on their human rights.3
  • BRSR India's mandate: performance against the nine NGRBC principles. Section A asks for material issues, their risks and opportunities, and the response.4,5

A map of orientation, not of equivalence.

  1. IFRS Foundation, IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information, objective
  2. EFRAG, Commission publishes delegated act on revised ESRS and voluntary reporting standard (2026)

The results chain we evaluate against

  1. Inputs

    Budget, staff, systems

  2. Activities

    Services delivered, trainings held

  3. Outputs

    People reached, assets built

  4. Outcomes

    Changed practice, access or income

  5. Impact

    Lasting change in well-being

The weaker the attribution, the more evidence is needed. Our designs state at the outset which links an evaluation will test, and how.
